Available Scholarships and Application Process

Attached you will find the official CRDMSC Scholarship Guidelines (formerly brochure) and Application for the 2017 year.   This is the ONLY guideline and application that will be accepted at the international level. Brothers, please do not attempt to replicate or alter them, so that all districts are following the same criteria and structure.  Although you may forward these documents, the preferred method is to refer them to the website so that they may obtain mailing instructions and deadlines as well. They will be available on the IHQ website soon.The Sixth District deadline for ALL submissions is  March 2, 2018. Faxed copies will not be accepted. Please send to address below:

    • Application Process for the C. Tyrone Gilmore Educational Scholarship Award
      • Eligibility:
      • Apply and be accepted full-time in any educational institution within the 6th District (North Carolina or South Carolina)
      • Must enroll in an Early Childhood, Elementary or Secondary Level or Special Education Program.
      • Minimum GPA of  3.0
      • Two letters of recommendation. One from an educator or administrator representing the last school attended. One from a person of the student’s choice who can describe the student applicant’s involvement in the community and/or potential for entering the teaching profession.
      • Complete and return to the email address above an essay entitled “Why I want to Teach” which will address the student applicant’s motivation for entering the teaching profession and the contributions he hopes to make to the profession and to the community as a teacher.
